As a result of an appeal, the District Court addressed the case of a 16-year-old Somali refugee who had been placed in a closed detention camp without taking under consideration her birth certificate. The detention decision was based on an X-ray RTG test results stating that she is an adult. The court ruled that whenever there are doubts about the age of a refugee, the authorities should always recognize him or her as underage.
