The ICJ today called on the Libyan authorities to immediately end the ongoing gross human rights violations committed by security forces and pro-government militia against the civilian population in Libya.
The ICJ also urged the international community to take robust measures to end the deadly attacks against Libyan demonstrators and to ensure the immediate protection of civilians.

The ICJ is extremely concerned by the destruction of infrastructure and collective punishments carried out by Israel in the Gaza Strip, and by the kidnapping of an Israeli soldier last Sunday by Palestinian armed groups.
“The Colombian Government policies over the past three years have contributed to the dismantling of the rule of law and the consolidation of impunity”, said the ICJ in a new report released today.
The ICJ begins a ten-day high-level mission to Colombia today to assess the impact of the “democratic security policy” on human rights, the administration of justice and the rule of law in the country.
